Almond Milk
Almond milk is made by pulverizing almonds. Even though the liquid extracted from almonds is called milk, people with cow milk allergies can enjoy it, as it contains no dairy products. It is used worldwide as a substitute for cow milk or soymilk and is a growing market in the United States as alternative milk. Its raw ingredient, almonds, is rich in vitamin E, dietary fiber and minerals, and its anti-aging and dietary benefits are being studied. Though almonds are commonly thought to be high in calories, about 70% of their fats are beneficial oleic acid, and they are 100% cholesterol-free.
